Performance and Specification - Jabiru J400 4 seater Kit

We see the Jabiru J400 as a go anywhere distance crunching aircraft which is very economical to run
and with reliability proven in the 2 seater aircraft which has been flying now for 15 years. Carry up to
3 passengers or fill the rear with luggage. Low maintenance fibreglass construction means less time
in the workshop and lower outgoings at permit renewal time. The engine is a purpose-built
horizontally opposed air cooled six cylinder power unit. It is direct drive, fitted with a silencer and
provides smooth quiet effortless power for minimal cost.

Fully Approved in the UK
All flight testing has been completed to FAR23 standards. Structural testing was completed and reports were submitted to PFA to comply with the latest version of FAR23. Full spin testing and flight testing have been completed demonstrating compliance to FAR23. The kit is now fully approved in the UK and many examples are now flying and touring Europe.

The J400 is the first modern four seat kit aircraft to be approved by the PFA in the UK.

Building a J400
Typical build effort is 500 man-hours. Aircraft have been built in as little as 3 months with 6 months being typical for a concerted involvement. Some builders enjoy the build experience and go on to build a second aircraft! Only simple tools are necessary, although we suggest a Dremel type device, a heavy-duty pop riveter and carborundum jigsaw blade.

Demonstration Flight
We would be pleased to show you the aircraft, talk you through the build and take you for a demonstration flight, where the J400 will speak for itself. Often demo flights are booked at short notice to take advantage of good weather, so please do not hesitate to call us.

Kit price only £39,000 including VAT!
